Health Victories

“I thought I was doing everything right. Unlike other programs and I diet plans I have been on, Thomas started with MY facts. He had me get in-depth bloodwork and a food sensitivity test done. Come to find out, I wasn’t eating foods with balance nutrients and, more importantly, I found out that I had extreme sensitivities. I couldn’t believe it when in about two weeks I had dropped over 10lbs and 3% body fat. It is so nice to get off the hamster wheel of doing what I thought was right but not seeing any results.”

Austin K.

I really enjoyed working with you and your style of engagement. You helped me build up my knowledge base so I could continue eating for optimal health, despite my food intolerances. The recommended supplements, advice about gut health to manage Inflammation, health apps, and tips really helped me take charge of my nutrition. I feel 100 percent better now than I did 6 months ago and have you to thank forgetting me on the right path.

Mary B.

“I have suffered from chronic stomach issues for many years. Working with Thomas, I saw almost immediate improvements as we quickly identified my food sensitivities, modified my diet by replacing problem foods with alternate sources, and worked to improve my general nutrition. I wish I had consulted with him sooner.”

John M.

“I was dealing with chronic gut issues that really inhibited my social and professional life and Thomas found a way to make them disappear. I learned so much and now my issues are gone! This was seriously worth every penny and I wish I did it sooner.”

Gianni H.

“I was dealing with chronic acne and really weird symptoms for years. A friend told me about Thomas and I was sold when he seemingly knew exactly what to do about it. He walked me through a diet/lifestyle shift and my face has entirely cleared up! I feel so much more confident now. Thomas is a god send.”

Lauren F.

“I was getting nowhere with my SIBO for so long. Thomas helped me uncover the reasons I wasn’t making any progress, which ironically no other doctor could do for me. He helped me create a diet and protocol, and he really listened which made me feel really comfortable. It’s a shame that more providers can’t approach healthcare like he does. I’ve learned so much, and this has truly changed my life.”

Kat C.

“I’ve struggled with arthritis and inflammation for years, taking medications that sometimes don’t work. After working with Thomas, my diet and lifestyle has completely shifted and I started noticing improvement within two weeks. Now only 2 months later I am completely pain free! The personalized approach Thomas uses has changed my life, where no other doctor could.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Does my insurance cover nutrition counseling?

In all likelihood the answer is yes, please refer to my services page to learn more!

Does my insurance cover lab testing?

Comprehensive blood testing and other functional labs include markers that are not yet considered medical necessary by insurance companies. Thus all labs that I order will incur out of pocket costs. Schedule a free call to discuss how testing might look for your unique needs.

Are you in-network with my insurance company?

Yes please refer to my services page to learn more!

What if my insurance requires a referral?

This is very rare, but if it is necessary you can have your primary care doctor fax me a referral request form. I can provide you with one of these forms via the portal. Book a free call to get started!

Do you offer sliding scale fees or self-pay options?

If insurance coverage is not an option, or if you elect to be self-pay then my cash prices would apply. Check out my services page to learn more!

What is the difference between a nutritionist and a dietitian?

The main difference is that dietitians generally follow the generalized dietary recommendations established by the USDA and rarely offer personalized nutritional guidance. Certified nutrition specialists are trained in herbology, nutrigenomics, microbiome science, and other cutting edge topics that enable personalized nutrition, whereas dietitian curriculum focuses more on in-patient conditions like tube feeding, dialysis, and COPD.

What can I expect during a typical nutrition counseling session?

My appointments are typically long and in-depth. At your initial we will cover your entire medical history, your current symptoms, dietary intake, lifestyle, and environmental health. At check-ins we will review your goals, any progress you’ve made, the barriers that came up over the last few weeks, and any strategies to keep you on track and moving forward.

How will you help me make sustainable dietary changes?

Sustainable change is a product of establishing healthy habits that both encompass realistic efforts and enjoyable experiences. We work together to choose the most enjoyable health behaviors that support your health needs and the most attainable starting point to initiate any new habits.

Do you offer personalized meal plans?

I offer all types of meal plans, from pre-made plans tailored to specific conditions, as well as personalized plans generated through AI software. Plans can be based on your food triggers, dietary preferences, and your ability to prepare these foods in a timely fashion. Once the plan is created, we will discuss a meal preparation plan to help you practice the implementation of the new meals with regard to your household and weekly routine.

Do you offer telehealth appointments?

Yes! My practice is 100% telehealth. All appointments are offered through video format via my online portal.
